Celestial Stokes

Owner of Forever Dance Studio

Celestial quickly found a passion for dance after she took her very first dance class. She found joy in movement and loved learning a variety of styles. Celestial is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern, Acro, and Tap. Celestial was on her high school drill team and dance company for three years, serving as drill captain her senior year. She was also chosen as an All-State drill team member and accomplished many goals with her teammates, including winning Nationals. Celestial found that her passion for dance was in choreography and apprenticed under Lauralynn Kofford after graduating high school.

She developed her creative and artistic style over the next decade winning countless choreography and high point awards. Celestial is the Assistant Choreographer for Stadium of Fire and has been for the past 17 years. She was also the lead choreographer for the Phase Production Group, a program that helps troubled youth find a creative outlet. Celestial has been and continues to be a judge for drill teams and studios throughout the state of Utah and served as a board member of the UDJA. Celestial has taught for a variety of studios and high schools throughout the years. She ran a drill team program, helped manage local dance studios, and has taught and set choreography on truly all ages, levels, and styles. She found her home at Charisma Dance Studio as the Artistic Director and over the course of a decade, helped build Charisma into a thriving studio.

Celestial's greatest passion is teaching her students and watching them reach their goals. Every student that passes through her class feels her love and appreciation for them. Her greatest accomplishment and joy in life has been her family. She loves being a mother to her five children with four daughters who also love to dance. It was only a matter of time until mom opened her own dance studio! Everyone is thankful for our one boy in the family (no one more thankful than dad). He reminds us that sports and video games can be just as cool as dance. With the love and support of her amazing husband and family, the dream of opening a dance studio that can be a positive and creative place where dancers grow and thrive is now a reality.
