Jocelyn Smith currently teaches dance at Provo High School and is the Dance Company Director. She has performed as a member of the Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company and The Penguin Lady Dance Collective. Jocelyn began her training at the age of 8 in various dance styles including ballet, tap, competitive jazz, and improvisation. Jocelyn received a full scholarship to Utah Valley University as a regional finalist for the Dance Sterling Scholar. During her time at UVU, she was selected to represent the dance program and the Northwest Region to perform in Washington D.C. at the National American Dance Association Festival. Jocelyn’s choreography, The Round Robin Project, was performed in The Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival in 2015, and in 2017 her choreography won the Metropolitan Ballet Choreography Design Competition. One of the many highlights in her dance career was dancing in the parades in Walt Disney World. A dream come true!
